16S/18S Metabarcoding of Carapace Surfaces from Six Freshwater Turtle Species

This project contains Illumina sequencing data from 16S and 18S metabarcoding of carapace microbial communities, from the shells of six species of freshwater turtles. Samples were collected in southeast Oklahoma, from the following species: Chelydra serpentina (common snapping turtle), Kinosternon subrubrum (Eastern mud turtle), Pseudemys concinna (river cooter), Sternotherus carinatus (razor-backed musk turtle), Sternotherus odorata (stinkpot) and Trachemys scripta (red-eared slider)
