Mycobacterium intracellulare Genome sequencing

These are Illumina sequence reads from mycobacterial isolates used to test a mass spectrometric (MALDI TOF) approach to distinguishing two very similar species, Mycobacterium chimaera and Mycobacterium intracellulare, for diagnostic and research purposes. These samples comprise a selection of 16 bacterial isolates whose mass spectral species identifications were discrepant and/or consistent with the single rpoB locus species identity which is routinely used for nontuberculous mycobacterial species determination.
