This dataset contains MATLAB scripts demonstrating a workflow for assessing post-earthquake building reconstruction using fully synthetic data. The original data used in the project were confidential; therefore, all inputs provided here are anonymised and generated over a small area in Kathmandu, Nepal. The tool can identify building locations where substantial changes have occurred, whether due to continued collapse or reconstruction. These identified locations can also help guide field investigations at a regional scale to track reconstruction progress long after the earthquake. The tool can also be used for any other events that can result in a building collapse and subsequent reconstruction, such as fire or urban development.In addition, the dataset includes OpenStreetMap building footprint data in the GeoPackage (.gpkg) format, which was used as part of the workflow.The implemented methodology follows the approach described in the associated paper.
