Deidentified individual patient dataset for the HPS case-fatality risk assessment model

This dataset contains deidentified individual patient data used for the development and initial empirical evaluation of an evidence-informed risk assessment model for case-fatality risk in New World hantavirus infection and hantavirus pulmonary syndrome. The dataset includes routinely available clinical, epidemiologic, laboratory, and radiologic predictors used for score calculation, the outcome variable, total score, and score-based observed risk category. The data were derived from a regional retrospective cohort of patients from the endemic southern region of Argentina. A data dictionary and analysis code are provided to support reproducibility of score calculation and descriptive analyses.
