资源简介:
Data from numerical simulations presented in manuscript Dynamic component of the asthenosphere: lateral viscosity variations due to dislocation creep at the base of oceanic plates. Script dynweak.py is the main post-processing script. To obtain Fig. 1b,d,e and Fig. 2, type "./runfigs.bat" in terminal on linux and the figures will be produced by executing dynweak.py with different sets of parameters (the required structure of the folder is described in the last paragraph, the data was divided into two zip files to accomodate the uploading process).
The folders data_fixedOP and data_mobileOP contain dislocation and diffusion creep viscosity for each time step and each model. Note that the models have different labels than in the manuscript (M1,M2,M3,M4,M5,M6,M7,M8,M9 from the manuscript are labelled here respectively as M2,M1,M3,M5,M4,M6,M11,M12,M13). The files horvelwin_*.dat and OPhorvelwin_*.dat, stored in subfolder data_mobileOP, contain the time evolution of velocity of the subducting and overriding plates. The data provided here are on a regular 500x500 grid and were obtained by interpolation of the output, unstructured and fine resolution data from SEPRAN, which is a proprietary code that was used to perform the numerical simulations of subduction.
When using the script runfigs.bat, files runfigs.bat and dynweak.py must be in the one directory with the folder "data", and the folder "data" must contain the folders for both the mobileOP and fixedOP models as well as the horvelwin_*.dat and OPhorvelwin*_.dat files.
