AVHRR Sea Surface Temperatures

The website consists of sea surface temperature (SST) from Bering Sea, Bristol Bay, Kodiak Island, Cook Inlet, Prince William Sound, Northern Gulf of Alaska, Yakutat Bay, and Alexander Archipelago. The images, derived from the five-channel AVHRR instruments onboard the NOAA Polar Operational Environmental Satellites (POES), which orbit the Earth approximately 14 times each day. The images in the database are of one kilometer resolution.
