The IAM-RIMES dataset is a French handwriting dataset created by merging the IAM dataset (English handwriting text) and the RIMES dataset (French handwriting text). The creation process involved automatically translating the IAM dataset content into French and using GAN models to generate synthetic French handwriting text. The final dataset contains approximately 50,000 handwritten images, suitable for tasks such as handwriting recognition, synthesis, and linguistic analysis.
