This extreme variability suggests that predicting side branch related myocardial infarction is very important and that theses studies are probably not of similar design. In this issue, the study by Kuno et al 2 represents one of the few clinical studies demonstrating jailed wire technique vs jailed balloon and jailed Corsair technique in bifurcation lesions and the first performed on a large cohort of patients.
