The RNA-seq analysis showed that the key regulators of systemic acquired resistance (SAR) were dramatically upregulated in the cpr5 mutants. Through mutations of the genes encoding these regulators in the cpr5 background, we discovered that only the sard1 cbp60g mutation fully suppressed the cpr5-induced immune response. These findings indicate that Arabidopsis nucleoporin CPR5 influences plant immunity by modulating SARD1 and CBP60g, which serve as master regulators of plant immune responses.
