资源简介:

This half-destroyed sixteen-foot tower rises in the center of the city, from where it seems to have been watching over the village since Roman times. It is part of the ancient fortress Castra Martis and keeps the secrets of time and the people who lived there for more than 1700 years. It also gave the city the name of Kula. If the stones from which the fortress was built could speak, they would tell about the Romans, the Avars, the Huns, the Bulgarians and the Turks. As early as the 1st century, the Romans, ruled by Justinian I, began to build their Danube border to defend themselves from the raids of the Slavs. The fortress that has risen proudly in this place was called Castra Martis or translated from Latin, The Towers of Mars. Thus, the Romans in plain text told the enemy that the towers of this key fortress were guarded by the very god of war - Mars. Its main role was to be the guardian of the Vrashka Chuka Pass, as there was an important Roman road between Belgrade and Vidin. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
