资源简介:
The Bermuda Atlantic Time-series Study (BATS) is a 10 year project (1988-1998), with primary funding from NSF Ocean Chemistry and Ocean Biology. BATS is part of the Joint Global Ocean Flux Study (JGOFS), an international and interdisciplinary investigation of the carbon and nutrient cycles in the upper ocean. The BATS measurements are made near the site of the Ocean Flux Program (31 degrees 50' N, 64 degrees 10'W), Werner Deuser's 15 year deep sediment trap program.
The data available includes:
Discrete CTD bottle water samples, In situ Primary production and Bacterial Growth, Sediment trap flux, BATS zooplankton biomass data, CTD data, 30 minute averages flow through T, S, Fluorescence, PCO2 data and IMET, shipboard meteorological data, and Island Meteorological Station data.
The following list gives the types of data available on the ftp site (not all for all years):
Hydrographic data:
salinity, no3+, no2, po4, sio4, tco2, o2, chl, poc,pon, bacteria,and pheo
CTD data:
depth, temperature, salinity, o2, PAR, beam attenuation coef.,and chl-fl.
Sediment flux data:
depth, sample id, total mass, total carbon flux, organic carbon flux, and nitrogen flux
Primary production:
depth, 3 light bottle productions, dark bottle, time zero bottle, and thymidine bacterial growth rates
