Test‑rig & acquisitionA two‑stage spur‑gear reducer was instrumented in the Dynamic Systems & Control Laboratory at the University of Connecticut.Stage 1: 32‑tooth pinion ↔ 80‑tooth gearStage 2: 48‑tooth pinion ↔ 64‑tooth gearA 3‑axis PCB accelerometer was mounted on the housing; signals were sampled at 20 kHz through a dSPACE DS1006 board while the shaft ran under constant torque supplied by an adjustable magnetic brake.
