Designating economic Carya cathayensis plantation: distance patterns of soil bacterial microbiome induced by root rot

The importance of sustainable tree crops economy has risen to be an urgent issue due to frequent plant-soil diseases incidence. Root rot is a soil-borne disease which results in severe yield losses in economic Carya cathayensi (C. cathayensi), however, the transmission characteristics and impacts upon resident community are poorly known. This study analyzed microbial communities in bulk and rhizosphere soils over equal geographical distances using high-throughout sequencing method to explore the transmission pattern and biotic & abiotic driving factors of root rot disease.
