Soil pit data from untreated Wyoming big sagebrush habitat in Nevada and eastern California. Data were collected in 2015 following NRCS protocol outlined in the Field Book for Describing and Sampling Soils, Version 3.0. Moist and dry color were determined using Munsell Soil Color Book. Percentages of sand, silt and clay were determined by hand-texturing by NRCS soil professionals.
