Metagenomic insight of microbiota and isolation, identification and probiotic characterization of selected lactic acid bacteria in Na.kam data, an ethnic fish product of Meghalaya

The Metagenomic sequencing of Na.kam data was intended to investigate the bacterial community composition present in Na.kam data in terms of beneficial, spoilage and pathogenic microorganisms which might indicate the significance of the product in terms of product quality and consumers safety. The prevalent Lactic Acid Bacteria with potential probiotic properties and bacteriocin producing ability are expected to be present in the ethnic fish product
