Overview: ASPERA3/IMA generally makes measurements in the solar wind just before entering the Martian Bow Shock (BS) and just after exiting it. The moments have been computed by integrating measurements in the solar wind taken either during BS entry or BS exit. Parameters: All IMA solar wind parameter data products have the same format. each row (data file record) in the SWM data products has eight (8) COLUMN objects (parameters): 1. Time Date/Time in UTC of the data sample 2. Density Solar wind density in protons per cubic centimeter 3. Speed Solar wind speed in kilometers per second 4. Temperature Solar wind temperature in Kelvin 5. Data Quality Value A quality indicator flag for the data on that row.
