Peony leaf mold caused by <em>Cladosporium paeoniae</em> which exclusively infects peony (<em>Paeonia</em> spp.) has become a serious disease affecting tree peony production and quality. Here, we report a high-quality genome assembly and annotation of <em>C. paeoniae</em> isolate PCp021 from China using Oxford Nanopore long-read sequencing and Illumina short-read sequencing technologies. The genome of <em>C. paeoniae</em> was 33.30 Mb in length (GC content = 52.55%). A total of 290 noncoding RNAs and 8,865 protein-coding genes were predicted. The high-quality genome assembly and gene annotation provided here is an important resource to broaden our knowledge of this pathogen and enhance our understanding of the molecular basis of its pathogenicity, which will facilitate the development of effective management strategies.
