资源简介:
Wind erosion is one of the main factors contributing to desertification in drylands and various natural adversities. Microbial-induced calcite precipitation (MICP) is an emerging technique aimed at addressing various environmental and engineering concerns, including soil erosion. In this study, we examined the feasibility of using ureolytic MICP, based on bio-stimulation of native soil bacteria, as a means of aeolian erosion control in loess (low-carbon, low plasticity silts) soil from the Negev Desert (Israel). The effects of the treatment on the soil's microbial community were examined using 16S rDNA sequencing.
