Ecosystem services accounts: 8 ecosystem services produced in KIP INCA 2021 updates

These datasets are an output of KIP INCA and refer to map datasets and supply and use tables (SUTs) for 8 ecosystem services.

The maps depict the spatial information that is provided by the ecosystem service accounts for the following ecosystem services: (a) Provisioning: Crop Provision and Wood Provision, (b) Regulating and Maintenance: Global Climate Regulation, Local Climate Regulation, Air Filtration (PM10), Flood Control and Soil Retention.

The spatial information depicted on the maps is related to certain accounting modules such as: Use of the ecosystem service in physical and monetary terms, Potential supply (for Flood control and Soil Retention), Demand (for Flood control and Soil Retention) and Mismatch (for Flood control and Soil Retention).

The maps were produced for the following accounting periods: 2000, 2006, 2012, 2018 and 2021 (when data was available) and cover the EU-27 member states.
