One proposed mechanism of chronic hepatitis B (CHB) infection induced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is via the integration of hepatitis B virus (HBV) DNA into the host genome. In this thesis, we used inverse PCR to investigate the HBV DNA integration in 28 CHB patients. We identified nearly 800 integration events and they were listed in this dataset.
