资源简介:

Rare earth elements (REEs) are critical in medical and industrial applications, yet their ultra-trace accumulation in human tissues poses unknown health risks. This theoretical framework explores the integration of artificial intelligence (AI), toxicology, clinical medicine, and environmental health to address the challenges of detecting and understanding the impact of ultra-trace lanthanum accumulation in human liver tissue. Drawing on a hypothetical case study involving a patient with chronic kidney disease exposed to lanthanum carbonate and gadolinium-based contrast agents, we propose a methodology for AI-enhanced inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) to quantify lanthanum at concentrations significantly above the limit of quantification. We discuss the theoretical implications of such findings, including potential associations with mild hepatic inflammation and the need for a global REE monitoring framework aligned with WHO and EPA guidelines. This work underscores AI's transformative role in ultra-trace detection and provides a conceptual roadmap for future interdisciplinary research.
