This series comprises daily ad hoc notes made by medical staff detailing the activities and treatments prescribed to select patients at the hospital. Not all patients appear to have had notes written about them. Each volume begins with an index at the front with the patients named in the register listed. Next to the patients' name the page numbers entries for that patient can be found.There are brief entries for any patients named. Comments include the treatments they received that particular day, their visitors for the day, any leave taken, medications prescribed, medical condition/observations, and where they were located for the day e.g. the yard. Sometimes the medical advice/prognosis given to the patient is noted. The entries were made daily, although not always on a Saturday or Sunday.
