The dataset contains the full set of results produced for the paper "Estimates of energy intake, requirements, and imbalances based on anthropometric measurements at global, regional, and national levels and for sociodemographic groups: a modelling study" by Marco Springmann, published in BMJ Public Health in 2025. It includes estimates of energy intake, requirements, and imbalances expressed in kilocalories per person per day (kcal/d) by region, country, age group, sex, urban/rural residence, and year. In addition, it includes a sensitivity analysis of energy requirements with respect to different body mass index (BMI) values.
