The River Shannon Project - Research & Development Images

<i>The River </i>is a one woman play which researches through testimonial performance and storytelling how people engage with the landscape, physicality and presence of the River Shannon as it flows through the city of Limerick.<i> The River Shannon Project</i> documents this creative practice research carried out by Dr Helena Enright, Senior Lecturer in Drama, at Bath Spa University in partnership with Elemental Arts &amp; Culture Festival, Limerick and Limerick City of Culture 2014.<br>This item contains two series of slides of images taken by Dr Helena Enright as part of her research into the River Shannon in preparation for creating <i>The River</i>. The first is entitled "Portrait of a River" which details a variety of images that were part of Dr Enright's research and development process. The second, "Boat trip with St Mary’s Maritime Group", shows images of the river taken by Dr Enright on the title journey. <br><i>All images courtesy of Helena Enright, except where noted.
