Illumina sequencing reads targeting the V4 region of the 16S rRNA gene using 515FB and 806RB primers. Sea-Monkeys (brine shrimp of the genus Artemia) were cultured for 6 weeks prior to individual sampling using 5 replicate tanks. Tank water and feed were also sampled to compare host- and tank-associated microbiomes.
