Global offshore wind turbine object-level database (2015–2025)

This dataset contains annual object-level observations of offshore wind turbines (OWTs) worldwide for 2015–2025. The data are provided as point shapefiles organized by year and region (Asia, Europe, and the Americas), using the WGS 84 geographic coordinate system (EPSG:4326). Each record includes rec_id, year, region, lon, and lat. The rec_id is a unique identifier for an annual observation record within each shapefile and should not be interpreted as a cross-year persistent turbine identity. By providing long-term and spatially consistent annual observations, the dataset supports multiscale analysis of global offshore wind expansion, regional differentiation, and structural evolution.
