资源简介:

The alligator gar (Atractosteus spatula) is a euryhaline ray-finned fish in the clade Ginglymodi of the infraclass Holostei, being most closely related to the bowfins. It is the largest species in the gar family (Lepisosteidae), and is among the largest freshwater fishes in North America (from Wikipedia entry). This sample of a male individual found near Chauvin, Louisiana, was procured by Ingo Braasch, Allyse Ferrara, Gary LaFleur, and Solomon David to generate a high-quality reference genome for the Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP). Sequencing and genome assembly were conducted at the Vertebrate Genome Lab (VGL) at the Rockefeller University, led by Erich D. Jarvis, Giulio Formenti, and Jennifer Balacco. Manual curation was done by Genoscope in France.
