Non-thermal X-rays from the Arches cluster region

truncated We propose XMMNewton and NuSTAR observations of the Arches clusterto improve our knowledge of the Xray reflection, which has recently been shownto be the likely origin of the non thermal emission from the cluster. The aimsare to obtain a measurement of the variable iron line flux, an accuratemorphology map of the fluorescent iron line emission along with 1020 keVnonthermal continuum, and a broadband spectrum of the neutral material outsidethe star cluster.
