Probing the Inner Structure of Polar Broad Absorption-Line Quasars

We have discovered a sample of polar broad absorptionline quasars (BALQSOs). Weknow their inclination angles with reasonable certainty. Thus, these are theideal objects to probe their inner structure through the Xray studies. However,to date, we do not have a reasonably good signaltonoise ratio Xray spectrumof any of these objects. Here, we propose deep XMMNewton observations of fourpolar BALQSOs to study the physical processes responsible for the Xrayemission, distribution of BAL clouds, wind driven mechanism, jet entrainment,etc. Finally, all these results will be used to constrain our timedependenthydrodynamical simulations. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
