Chemical sequential extraction and high-resolution diffusive gradients in thin-film techniques (DGT) were employed to investigate the mobilization behavior and driving mechanism of P in core sediments at two typical estuaries of Maowei Sea, northern Beibu Gulf, namely Maoling River Estuary (MLRE, mainly controlled by natural process) and Qin River Estuary (QRE, significantly affected by coastal shrimp aquaculture).
