Comparative genomics of Roseburia intestinalis strains isolated from healthy human gut

The aim of the study is to perform a comparative genomics analysis to characterize the core and pangenomes of Roseburia intestinalis strains, a dominant human gut bacterium, with respect to central carbon and energy metabolism, and presence of antibiotic resistance genes, to uncover differences among strains. This study serves to advance our understanding of the potential metabolic interactions that influence the ecology of Roseburia intestinalis strains in human gut and have implications for the design of targeted intervention strategies to manipulate the gut microbiota.
