资源简介:
Data corresponds to the output of the TrackEddy algorithm which identifies, tracks and reconstructs the Gaussian perturbation of each coherent eddy-like feature in the ocean. The output will be compressed as groups in a netCDF file. The estimated size is ~100gb for the globe obtained from satellite observations (AVISO+).  The data was produced with the eddy identification and tracking algorithm "TrackEddy". The input data is the satellite altimeter product produced by Ssalto/Duacs and distributed by AVISO, with support from CNES (https://www.aviso.altimetry.fr/en/data/products/sea-surface-height-products/global/gridded-sea-level-heights-and-derived-variables.html). This project will have as a final output each identified coherent eddies from the AVISO+ dataset. The full analysed dataset will produce an estimate of 100 Gb of raw output. We will analyse the Sea Surface Height using the TrackEddy algorithm, which identifies eddies based on their geometrical structure and represents them as Gaussians through an optimal Gaussian fitting. With this output, the end-user could reconstruct the coherent eddy-like field for the full satellite altimetry period. Based on the above estimates, this project will need 100 Gb of archive storage. The project data output will be in netCDF, this format is self-describing and widely available and used in the Climate community. The dataset was  created by Josue Martinez Moreno for the Centre of Excellence for Climate Extremes Climate variability and teleconnections research program.
