Painting with 5 mg picryl chloride elicited PFC in the spleen maximal at day 23 and in the lymph nodes, maximal at day 20. Feeding picryl chloride or injecting picryl sulphonic acid did elicit a significant response. Plaque-forming cells (PFC) were determined using TNP-coupled sheep red blood cells and developed with rabbit anti-mouse IgG.
