Routine hydrological and meteorological observations at the Tianshan Glaciological Station are conducted at four sites in the headwater region of the Urumqi River: the No.1 Glacier Hydrological Station, Hollow Cirque Hydrological Station, Main Control Hydrological Station, and Houxia Basic Camp.
