All the data are operational data from a Mega container ship and a Newcastle bulk carrier, kindly shared by two friendly ship owners, with the commitment to well protect owners’s interest. Those data are used to calculate the fuel consumption and carbon emissions during ship operation. Based on those data, the ship’s CII rating can be analyzed, as well as the calculations of ETS and FuelEU under the EU emission reduction framework, providing a data foundation for the future analysis of the IMO Net-Zero Strategy. Meanwhile, the data provide the CAPEX for Mega container ships and Newcastle bulk carriers using different alternative fuels, including conventional fuel, LNG, methanol, and ammonia, together with the initial investment for scrubbers, based on market conditions and years of shipbuilding experience, thus supporting the economic analysis of different fuel options.
