Arabidopsis wild-type plants (Col-0) were grown on soil under short-day conditions (22°C, 60% RH, 8 h light/16 h dark cycle) for 5 weeks. Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato DC3000 suspensions (in Milli-Q water, OD600 = 0.02) were infiltrated into the rosette leaves (3 leaves/plant). Infiltrated plants were placed under moderate humidity (22°C, 60% RH) for 8 h, and then exposed to moderate or high humidity (22°C, 95% RH) for 0.5 h. Uninfiltrated plants were exposed to moderate or high humidity for 0.5 h or 5 h. Total RNA was prepared from the infiltrated leaves (3 leaves /sample).
