DAS-BIGORRE-2022: Fiber-Optics Distributed Acoustic Sensing records (Bigorre, Hautes-Pyrénées, France)

This dataset consists of Distributed Acoustic Sensing observations recorded along a 91-km fiber optics cable in Bigorre (Hautes-Pyrénées, France) between 2022-08-31 and 2022-09-20. The dataset contains 19x 10-minutes records of strain rate data; each subset contains a seismic event (13 earthquakes, 6 quarry blasts) of known magnitude and epicenter location calculated by the BCSF-RENASS service. We also include a kml file containing fiber location coordinates. The dataset is associated with the scientific publication: C. Huynh, Hibert C., Jestin C., Malet J.-P., Lanticq V. 2024. A real scale application of a novel set of spatial and similarity features for detection and classification of natural seismic sources from Distributed Acoustic Sensing data.
