Akebia trifoliata Genome sequencing and assembly

Akebia trifoliata (Thunb.) Koidz, belonging to the Lardizabalaceae family of flowering plants, not only is a basal eudicot having important role in whole-genome duplication studying, but also is a traditional medicine and current new fruit crop. We sequenced and assembled the genome of A. trifoliata using a combination of technologies, which resulted in a 652.73 Mb assembly with a contig N50 size of 1.57 Mb and a scaffold N50 size of 35.75 Mb.
