High-resolution hydrosedimentological dataset for two paired headwater agricultural catchments in Júlio de Castilhos, southern Brazil (WS80 and WS140, 2010–2012)

This dataset distributes 5-minute and daily-aggregated time series of precipitation, streamflow, and suspended sediment concentration (SSC) measured between 2010-08-01 and 2012-12-31 in two adjacent paired headwater catchments — WS140 (1.39 km²) and WS80 (0.80 km²) — located in the Assentamento Alvorada (Júlio de Castilhos, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil). The data support reproducibility of, and follow-up research on, the companion paper Rippel et al. (2026), Hydrological Processes. Files: 4 CSVs (5-min and daily resolution for each catchment), CC BY 4.0 license, UTF-8 encoded, semicolon-separated. Full metadata, caveats, and data quality checks are in the README.md. Important caveat: WS80 and WS140 share the same precipitation series (single on-site tipping-bucket pluviograph; the catchments are ~1.5 km apart). Documented gaps in the record are flagged with NaN and not statistically infilled.
