资源简介:
Anopheles mosquitoes, a medically relevant organism, vectors the Plasmodium parasites that cause malaria in humans. Cell lines are often utilized as a model for whole organism studies. Two Anopheles cell lines 4a-3A and 4a-3B, that originated from Muller et al. 1999, have distinct expression changes in six prophenoloxidase genes. However, no previous study has performed an analysis of genetic variation across the whole genome between these cell lines. The goals of this study were to examine the variation present between 4a-3A, 4a-3B and the Anopheles gambiae PEST AgamP4 reference genome and then use this variation to in silico species type these lines and determine a molecular footprint for use in distinguishing these cell lines from each other.
