Efficacy and safety of sinus balloon catheter dilation versus functional endoscopic sinus surgery in the treatment of chronic sinusitis: A meta analysis

Given the growing useof SBCD, understanding its efficacy and safety profile is critical. Hence, weconducted this meta-analysis with the aim of providing clearer insights into theeffectiveness and safety of SBCD versus FESS for CRS and informing clinicaldecision-making. Four databases (PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and CochraneLibrary) were searched from the establishment of the databases to October 7, 2024,for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) comparing SBCD versus FESS in thetreatment of CRS.
