资源简介:
This project aims to investigate the temporal genetic dynamics of the Jomon population, the prehistoric hunter-gatherers who inhabited the Japanese archipelago from approximately 16,000 to 3,000 years ago. By analyzing high-coverage ancient genome data from Jomon individuals spanning several millennia, we seek to characterize population structure, genetic continuity, and demographic changes over time. This study will provide insights into how Jomon genetic diversity was shaped across different time periods and geographic regions, and will contribute to understanding the genetic legacy of Jomon ancestry in modern Japanese populations. The findings are expected to advance our knowledge of human population history in East Asia and the mechanisms underlying genetic adaptation in ancient hunter-gatherer societies.
