Fish landings and aquaculture trials in Brazil: 6,567 records from 28 publications

6,567 records transcribed from the tables and text of 28 Portuguese-language publications (2000-2020): 5,546 landing and catch records from 17 documents (Pantanal, Amazon, Araguaia, São Paulo and Paraná reservoirs, Lagoa dos Patos, and the coast from Pará to Santa Catarina; by species, river, landing site, month, gear and fleet) and 1,021 results of 14 aquaculture trials (tambaqui, matrinxã, tambatinga, tilapia, jundiá, cachara, pacu, carp). Files: landings, strata, trials, aquaculture records, species key and sources, with the page and table of every number. Names, periods and units are kept as printed; printed totals are kept and checked against their parts (14 errors of the sources listed). None of the documents had its data in structured form (checked against FAO FishStat, national bulletins, IBGE SIDRA, dados.gov.br, DataCite and Redape). Each document was transcribed twice, independently, by AI agents, and every disagreement (6,298) was settled against the PDF. A human reviewed the result before publication. Version 2.0.0 adds a round of 20 documents to the 8-document pilot (v1.0.0). Part of the Paper Rerun project (Open Tables).
