Impact of Bacillus infantis on the gut microbiota of Rattus norvegicus

This study investigates the impact of probiotic administration on the gut microbiome of Rattus norvegicus. Experimental rats were supplemented with Bacillus infantis, and fecal samples were collected for microbial community analysis. The bacterial 16S rRNA gene V3-V4 region was sequenced using high-throughput amplicon sequencing to characterize changes in microbial composition and diversity. The dataset provides insights into probiotic-driven modulation of gut microbiota in a mammalian host.
