The data are derived from images extracted from both genuine and counterfeit banknote specimen samples. Industrial cameras typically used for print inspection were utilized for the digitization process. The final images have a resolution of 400 × 400 pixels. Based on the camera lens and shooting distance, the grayscale images of the investigated objects were acquired at a resolution of approximately 660 dpi. A wavelet transform tool was employed to extract features from these images.
