Township-level analysis data and analysis code for a study that applies a widely used four-dimensional cropland-fragmentation index with the InVEST habitat-quality model in humid subtropical Hunan and contributes a terrain-confounding diagnosis, showing the negative CLF–HQ coupling to be terrain-driven and standardization-dependent rather than a causal fragmentation effect.
