VPRS 15617 Applications for Seed and Manure Flood Relief Advances, West Gippsland

This series consists of records relating to the applications for relief or advances by farmers affected by flood in West Gippsland in 1911. The Schedules prepared for the hearing of applications by the Local Lands Board have the cases in numerical order with the name and location of the applicant, a description of the application and notes of evidence. The correspondence file includes lists of applicants , correspondence to Members of Parliament regarding the matter, letters in relation to the composition of the Board and the criteria for eligibility.Individual files may consist of no more than the cover with an annotation that the person did not appear or that the application was withdrawn. Other files include correspondence between the Local Lands Board and the applicant regarding the application or the notes made by the Board in assessing the application.
