Phytolacca americana Genome sequencing and assembly

This BioProject provides comprehensive genomic resources for Phytolacca americana (pokeweed), an ecologically important and invasive plant species. The genome was assembled using Nanopore long-read sequencing, Illumina short-read sequencing, and Hi-C data for chromosome-level scaffolding. Genome annotation was performed with the integration of RNA-seq data to enhance gene model accuracy. These datasets will support studies on genome evolution, environmental adaptation, and the mechanisms underlying the invasiveness of plant species.
