This study analyzed matched fecal and milk microbiome samples from a cohort of mother-infant vervet monkeys (Chlorocebus aethiops sabaeus) housed at the Vervet Research Colony at Wake Forest School of Medicine, Winston Salem, NC, USA. Sequences correspond to the V4 region of the 16S ribosomal RNA gene and were sequenced on a single Illumina MiSeq flow cell using 301 bp paired-end sequences.
