In the first detailed study of the Perseus arm’s10
disk-halo interface, we combine HST/STIS and COS absorption spectra toward 6 stars11
and 23 AGNs projected behind a narrow section (95◦ < l < 145◦, −46◦ < b < 0◦),12
providing a unique dataset that bridges the disk and its extended vertical structure13
in these directions.
